LKL Farming is a founder member of the Agskills training organisation. This organisation coordinates training for its farmer-members, specialising in pig production. It runs a trainee of the year scheme for pig people in training with the group. LKL employees have been named as Trainee of the Year for the past 2 years. Richard Shirley won the inaugural award in 2002 and Sean King continued the company's success in 2003.
